As a pharmacy tech, what do you think of the new prescription drug provided by the American College of Pharmacy (ACP)? Many consumers have questions about the new plans that the ACP has come up with. One of these questions is, “Will the new, faster-track classes work for me?” The answer to this question is yes and no. The classes are great, but they are not meant for everyone. This article will explain exactly how the classes will work for those that take them.

At the start of the class, students will learn an important topic that will be used throughout the semester. This topic is called, “Expanding Knowledge: Expanding Knowledge is Powerful”. Throughout the semester, students will spend time people watching videos, reading books, and listening to podcasts to understand the topic. After learning the important topic, the students will demonstrate around thoughts together using the PowerPoint program.

During the second part of the course, students will demonstrate around thoughts and their application using the Microsoft Office suite. Sometimes, PowerPoint slides will be displayed and sometimes, they will be displayed on the screen in front of the class. The idea is to demonstrate around thoughts, read books, and listen to audio clips using these applications. They will also spend time people watching videos, reading books, and listening to podcasts to understand the important topic.

The third part of the course is very interesting. Students will present their cases, answer questions, and then the case study will be compared and discussed with other students. The author of this case study is called, “Otzas Demoustier”. This author has a master’s degree in Pharmacy Technology and he is certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board. This is an important part, students will be spending time people talking about their case study and discussing the ideas with other peers in this course.

The fourth and last part is about doing independent research. The students will be asked to complete an independent research project that will be presented in a semester research report. The project can be based on a case study, an article, or any other written material. The students will present their written materials to the instructor for review and comments before completing it. The instructor will then review the project, talk with the students, and make suggestions as to what should be done with the research.

The professor of this course is Dr. Mark Lipnick, a specialist in Emergency Medicine. He is a former emergency room chief for the New York City Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services, and is currently Clinical Director of the Center for Drug Evaluation in New York. In his role at the EDPS he oversees clinical trials, diagnostic trials, and community research projects that are funded by the National Institute of Mental Health, the Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. Department of Education, and other organizations. Dr. Lipnick has a doctorate degree in pharmacology, and many years of experience in both general and family practice. In fact he served as a medical advisor for one of the Kingsley School, the country’s only private school of medicine.

Part of the coursework in Fast-track pharmacy tech classes is educational planning, and students will spend time researching local pharmacies and the products that are sold there. They will also be able to research national drug plans and learn about the different health plans offered in the U.S. They will learn about the differences between the HMO’s, PPO’s, FFSAs, Medicaid managed care programs, discount cards, and other health plans. The pharmacy tech program that Bahis ran at the UMass in Boston required students to complete a mini-refresher tour in the city, during which they were given real-life situations that they would face while working at a pharmacy. During this tour students learned that some pharmacists would recommend certain brands or drugs to a patient based on the information the pharmacist had garnered from talking with the patient.
